Graham showed steady cricket for ai hour, the third widket putting on 59 runs Giffen and Gregory were together for ar hour and a quarter. Neither gave f chance, and each hit six fours. Trimble hil vigorously, and gave an easy chance, whicl: was not taken. Foster again played a brilliant innings for the University, scoring 40 out of 47 in half an hour. Oxford were all out for 129. The additional scores were — Warner 16, Mordaunt 12, Raikes 2, Leveson-Gower 2, Bardswell 0, Waddy 23, Hartley 21, Cimliffe not out 0, Lewis 2, extras 4, total 129. Waddy and Hartley made a capital stand, and put on 38 between them. Trumble took four wickets for 3 runs. The Australians require 59 to win. The Australians defeated Oxford by seven wickets. AUSTRALIANS v. MIDLAND. COUNTIES. The match arranged for June 18, letween the Australians and the Gentlemen of England, has been altered to a match with a Midland Counties eleven.
