Graham showed steady cricket for ai hour, the third widket putting on 59 runs Giffen and Gregory were together for ar hour and a quarter. Neither gave f chance, and each hit six fours. Trimble hil vigorously, and gave an easy chance, whicl: was not taken. Foster again played a brilliant innings for the University, scoring 40 out of 47 in half an hour. Oxford were all out for 129. The additional scores were — Warner 16, Mordaunt 12, Raikes 2, Leveson-Gower 2, Bardswell 0, Waddy 23, Hartley 21, Cimliffe not out 0, Lewis 2, extras 4, total 129. Waddy and Hartley made a capital stand, and put on 38 between them. Trumble took four wickets for 3 runs. The Australians require 59 to win. The Australians defeated Oxford by seven wickets.
