AQUATIC.

[Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Mat 20. In a private letter dated May 8, George Seymour, the stroke of the crew, says : — "We are all very fit and going well. Since seeing the Queensland and. New South Wales crews our hopes have risen. Their style is not up to New Zealand form, and as they are all office men I do not see how we can help beating them, bar accidents. The Victorians, however, are very warm members." In a letter to the Secretary of the Rowing Association, dated May 10, Richardson says that the crew are fit and well. He has been carefully looking at the style of the Australian crews. They none of them row as crews do in New Zealand, and the race will be a good test of the two styles. Daly has improved greatly, and. all are learning to do more leg drive, which was always the Seymours' weak point.
