Philosophical Institute — Photo Section.— The annual meeting of the photographic section of the Philosophical Institute was held at the Canterbury College laboratory last night. There was an attendance of about twenty-five •members, and Mr H. R. Webb, president, occupied the chair. The annual report dealt with the work done during ,the past year. The section had made steady progress, and the annual exhibition had been a great success. There was a credit balance of .£33 6s 5d to commence the year with. The annual report and balancesheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows : — President, Mr H. R. Webb ; Honorary Judge, Mr A. E. Preece ; Honorary Secretaries, Messrs R. C. Bishop and S. Page; Honorary Treasurer, Mr J. Spiller; Committee, Messrs I. von Gottfried, J. N. Taylor, W. J.Edwards, C. Large, T. N. Horaley and C. Beken. A-, hearty vote of thanks was passed to the retiring officers. •SFRING BLOSSOM TEA.
