Mrs Williamson, relict of the late John Williamson, formerly Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, who is dead, has left property valued at £SO ayear to found additional scholarships at the College Grammar School. Mr Cadman, accompanied by his private secretary and Mr Gordon, Mining Inspeotor, left for Wellington by the Mahinapua yesterday. NAPIER, Feb. 14. Captain Forster, clerk of the Magistrate's Court here, has received notice of his ap 7 pointment to be chief clerk at Dunedin. DUNEDIN, Feb. 14. Mr Ralfe, clerk at the Police Court, Dunedin, succeeds Mr Forster at Napier. Samuel Lister, proprietor of the Otago Workman, who was convicted of criminal | libel at the last sittings, and sentenced to three months' imprisonment, has been released by his Excellency's orders.
