THE PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE.
LATER DETAILS. [FBOM ona OWN COBBBSPONDBNT.J WELLINGTON, August 26. The Bank of New Zealand Committee, after Bitting for two hours this afternoon, adjourned for dinner, to meet again at 8 p.m. In the meantime rumours of a disagreement in the committee reached the outer air, and it was whispered that there was a prospect of the dissent being maintained to the last and of majority and minority reports being presented. As a result of later inquiries I learn thafc the committee sat till half-past ten. It is stated thafc fche report of fche sub-commit tee was agreed to and the committee adjourned till twelve to-morrow. I believe that the report will certainly be presented to-morrow. Unofficially I learn that the Bank's terms have practically been agreed to.
