Speaking at Orange, tbo Premier referred to the action of the Legialative ', Council in reapect to a number of im- ! porfcant Bills, and said he foresaw great improvement for constitutional reform if the will of the people were any longer overridden. The basia of the Legislative Assembly was recently altered, and it was open to question whether a corresponding advance should not be made in the Council.

The revenue shows a comparative increase of £94,,000 for eleven months of the financial year, while the expenditure has decreased by .£64,000. Trade generally ia good, and there is an improvement in its expansion.
