[Pbb Press Association."] AUCKLAND, Juke 8.

At a meeting of the Waitemata County Council, it was resolved to thank the Governor for his offer of a donation towards the purchase of a large kauti tree on the Waikouriti Range, and to inform him that the Bank of New Zealand and the Council were taking steps to carry out his wishes. The Bank of New Zealand manager is to be asked to reserve the right-of-way to the tree, which the Council would undertake to fence.
