HOESE SALES. The entry at Tattersall's on Saturday was 76 horses, the bulk of which were light animale, with a few secondary draughts. Very few good, useful farm horses came forward, although there is now a fair inquiry for useful plough horses in consequence of the large amount of breaking up that is being done this year. Amongst the entry were the bay horae Chaos, by Total Eclipse — . Bavenswing, which was knocked down to Mr M. Hobbs for £84; the chestnut filly Bizarre, 2yrs, by Apremont — Whim, going to the same buyer at £31 10s. Bidding was anything but brisk, and the salesmen had hard work to do business. Prices realised were as follow :— Heavy draughts up to -Sl5, light do .£lO to .£l5 10s; good lighjb harness horses £9 to .£ll lOsj medium do £7 to £8 10s; best hacks £10 to £12, medium do £6 to £9/ weeds- and aged sorta from £2 to £5. At Eangiora. on Friday 122 horses were yarded.. The biddings were not so buoyant as they were a month ago, except> for draughts, for which there was a good demand. Out of the total entry, 75. changed ha&ds at the following prices :•— Unbroken three-year-old draughts £13 to £15, broken, in draughts,- good- sorts, £15 to £18, medium do £9 to Mii older sorts £7 to M, trap horßeß £6 to ££2i hacks £5 to £10, weedy sorts of either trap horses or hacks at any prices..
