THE POISONING CASE.
SYDNEY, June 9,
Three more of the aboriginals at Mount Fern who drank a decoction supplied to them by a man named Kelly in mistake for , rum, have succumbed, making five victims in all. At the inquest felly gave evidence that he obtained the bottle from a certain shop. He was intoxicated at the time, and believing the contents to be rum drank some himself, and gave the blacks the drink. He himself suffered severely from what he had drunk.
A FEARFUL STORM.
SYDNEY, June 10.
Eastern news by the steamer Tai Tuan states that a terrible whirlwind swept Japan about the middle of May. Hundreds of buildings were destroyed, and seven persons were killed and many wounded. Taku &leo suffered greatly, and many lives were lost.
