WELLINGTON, June 9. The Premier returned to Wellington by the Penguin from Lyttelton this afternoon.

Two young msn, named Andrew and David Kennedy, were arrested last night on a charge' of causing grievous bodily harm to one Louie Smith, who waa admitted to the hospital a day or two ago suffering from burns. It is alleged that the accused attempted to force their way into a Chinaman's house in which Smith waa living, and that in the struggle a kerosene lamp held by Smith waß upset, resulting in her clothes catching fire. It is nob unlikely two others now in gaol will be also charged with the offence.
