Fbidat, June 7. (Before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.)
Dbunkenness, — For this offence a man who had not been previously convicted was fined 5s and costs, in default twentyfour hours' imprisonment.
Unbegistebed Dog. — Eobert Darling was fined ss, and costs 7s, for keeping an unregistered dog at St Albans on May 14.
Bictclbs on Footpaths.— -Henry Nightingale was fined ss, and costs 7s, for riding a bicycle on a footpath on the Springfield Boad, St Albans, on May 17.
Civil Case.— N. Betts v. J. Eayres, claim £5 for alleged detention of a number of articles of clothing. Defendant put in a counter claim of £5 10a for board and lodging and the value of a brooch. This case had been partly heard on the previous day. The defendant's wife and a witness were examined as to the identification of the articles, and the case was further adjourned till the following day to enable two other witnesses to be examined.
