TEMPERANCE CONVENTION.

At a largely-attended meeting of the Executive of the New Zealand Alliance, held at Wellington l&at evening, it was resolved to hold a colonial convention of representatives of all Temperance Societies from all parts of the colony in Weliingtoa about the first week in July. A lar(_e number of delegates have already promised to attend, aud it iB expected that tho gathering will be one of the largest and moat representative ever held in New Zealand.
