COURTENAY.
A meeting of the General Committee was held at Kirwee on Thursday. Mr J. Dysart, President, occupied the cbair. Eight applications for the office of secretary were received, and after it had been resolved that a resident of the district should be appointed, a ballot was taken. Mr G. T. Robertson was declared elected. A hearty vote of thanks waß accorded the retiring Secretary, Mr G. Bedford. A subcommittee was appointed to revise the schedule of entries.
