Mrs J T. Peacock.
I It ia our painful duty to record the ' denme of the wife of the Hon J. T. j Peacock, which took place at her reaidence, Hawkeswooa, Papanui Boad, shortly after midnight Iftrt night. Though she had
been unwell for some time it was not thought that there was any danger, and, in fact, during the past few days Bhe had shown, considerable improvement in health. Just before midnight Mrs Peacock complained of her heart, and her husband moved her from the bed to a chair, and summoned Dr Towcend, her medical advertiser, but she expired before hia arrival. Her death waa 80 sodden that many members of the household were unable to see her before she breathed her last. The deceased waa fifty-nino years of age, and Mr and Mra Peacock had celebrated the fortieth anniversary of their wedding on Friday last.
