ADDINGTON YARDS.
♦ This Day. [Pee " Stab's " Pigeon Expbbss."] Another large yarding of live stock came to hand at Addington to-day, and the attendance wai good. Considerable grumbling was experienced from the pig buyers at the new order of sales, and at a mesting of some of the prominent buyers "it was decided thai the present arrangement was unsatis' factory, and that unless fresh arrangements are made they will decline to attenc the Addington sales. It is onlj fair to say however, that the pig sale which started at twelve o'clock was concluded by 2 p.m* Pat Cattle.— The entry of fat cattl< was more than sufficient for trade require ments, and prices, if anything, are easiei than they were last week. Stoke CATTLB.-cThe store yards wen well filled with an entry embracing i number of good useful young cattle, bu the sale was only just starting when oui express left. Daibt Cattle.—A medium entry o dairy cows came to hand, but as they an . not sold until the last thing, nothing oai be said of the market. Storb Sheep.— Between 6000 and 7001 , sheep occupied the Btore pens, including i number of nice breeding ewe 3 and aoir good linea of lambs. The maj^t wa
again sluggish, the only eort3 which found buyers being good, sound young sheep. Fat Shebp.— The week's supply consisted of between 5000 and 6000 sheep. The bulk of the entry, a* usual, was made up of cross-bred ewe j and tn-rinos. Some rather better eortß of the latter were yarded. There were only two or three pens of prime croee-bred wethers, and as these mere too heavy for freezing purposes they were taken by the trade. Prices showed an inclination to be slightly easier co far as the sale has gone. Fat Lambs.— About 1500 lambs were yarded, very few of which were prime, and a still further reduotion had to be submitted to when sales were made. Pigs.— -A large entry of piga met with a eluggish Bale, and owing to the apathy shown by buyers, a drop of from 2s 6d to 4s per head on bacon pigs and porkers was experienced.
