STABBING CASE
A Police Sergeant Seriously Wounded.. I_Per Press Association.J WANGANUI, March 21. A rather serious stabbing case took place last night, a man named Stephen, inflicting a wound on Sergeant Villars with a large knife. Attempts were being made by Sergeant Villars and Constable Mackle to arrest the man for causing a disturbance, and while they were trying to take an axe from him he drew a knife. | Sergeant Villars is now ia the hospital, j The wound is in the etomacb. Probably , an operation will have to be performed. I
