It seems the prevalent opinion that then will not be enough votes cast to carry th< local option poll, but some hold the con' trary opinion, and think there will be s heavy vote cast in the city for " no license.'' 1415 votes are required in the Taieri district, and 1816 in the Port Chambers district, to carry the local option poll. It is the strong belief that Port Chalmers, Caversham and Clutha will pronounce for prohibition.
