The Firing Committee reported that the success of the yeai's Bhooting was principally due to the members who canvassed .or prizes, and to th_ donors who responded so liberally. The committee had given effect to the recommendation of the outgoing committee regarding the offering of fifteen or twenty prizes for a day's Bhooting. This waß acted upon in principle, but had tobe subjected to certain modifications. The division of the company into two classes, in order to give the younger shots a chance, bad proved a success. In shooting matters the committee noted an improvement, and was hopeful that next year the corps would be able to turn out a good team. Funds, however, were slack in this conneotion, and much in the way of prize 3 could not be done until they revived. The Firing Committee thanked the members for the esprit de corps shown aU through, and for their willingness to give effeot to its wishes in every way. It recommended the incoming committee to so manipulate available prizes aB to make the competitions spread over the season without having to apply to the public for some time to come. It recommended consideration of the question of a second team to represent the company, as more men were available than could get shooting in the first-class team ; and also that the company Bhould make a grant to the firing committee for shooting purposes only. The busineßß having been disposed of* the members sat down to supper. The toast of "The Qaeen" was honoured, and then the Chairman called on the Bey W. S. Bean to present the prizes.
