United Methodist Free Churches.
DISTRICT MEETING. The district meeting was resumed on Saturday morning. A communication was received from the Primitive Methodiet conference in reference to the question of minor Methodist union. It was ordered to be acknowledged, and copies of the resolutions passed on Friday last sent with the reply. The meeting then proceeded to deal with matters pertaining to the various ministers in the district. The business in hand being unfinished, it will be the first matter considered this morning, and the meeting will sit in committee until it is disposed of. It was arranged to receive a deputation from the Cbrietehurqh Ministers' Association to-morrow at 2.30 p.m. On Saturday afternoon a garden party was held at the residence of Mr G. fiowron, Risingholme, Opawa. There waß a large attendance, and the whole affair passed off very well, amongst those present being various ministers representing the Wesleyan and Bible Christian churches. This evening ot 7.30 the Rev J. Hosking, chairman of the district, will preach in the St Asaph Street Church, and a communion service will be held afterwards.
