AsHfctrßTON County Council.— An adjourned meeting of the Ashburton County Council was held yesterday ; . present— Hon W. C. "Walker, Messrs , : Harper, Grigg, Cameron, Wright, Friedlander, Bicbards and Williamson. Mr Hugo Friedlacder was appointed Chairman for the ensuing year. It was reported that Mr A. E. Peaohe's tender for tho Mount Somers tramway lease had been ' accepted. .Mr J< Heaeltino's tender for dog collars was accepted. Mcbbis Caineron, Wright, Grigg, Harper and. the Chairman were appointed a Standing Committee regarding "thirds." The usual Committees were appointed. Mr Walker was appointed the Council's representative on the Charitable Aid Board. >
