[Per Pbess association.! NAPIER, Oct. 10. There is excellent weather for the opening day of the Napier Park Eaoing Club's Meeting. The attendance is good. Forme has been scratched for the Sapling Stakes. Bosefeldt, Dreamland, and Dingo have been scratched for the Criterion Stakes. Quilt made most of the running with The Joker, butT Bose came very fast over the last hurdle and got within half a length of the leader. Vasco was third, Maid of Lome, Jack, Auckland, The Joker, Oddfellow, and Avis following in that order. On the machine 591 ; on the winner 114. Dividend £<k 13a. Time— 2min 58sec.
