Dyer, Esqa.)Alleqkd Assault.— Constable Charles Moore was charged, on the information of Robert Home, with having assaulted him 1 while arresting him on a charge of drunkenness. The informant did not appear, and the case Was dismissed with costs. Alleged Desertion and Labceny.— Williams and William Thelwall were charged with deserting from the ship Wairoa, and with the larceny of a block, tackle, and Borne rope. The accused pleaded " Not Guilty," and as there was no representative from the ship— which had left for London — present, the case was dismissed.
