THE PRIMITIVE METHODIST CONFERENCE.

At the evening session, which was open to the public, several members of other churches attended. j The Fire Insurance Committee's report was adopted. It showed that thirty-four church properties and two ministers' libraries were insured. j The Sunday school report was read, and ' the following statistics were given: — ' Schools 52, increase 6; teachers 457, in- ] crease 21; scholars 3883, increase 329; ! average attendance 2601, increase 374. ( The District Sunday School Committee ' reportsd that examinations of the scholars j had taken place during the year, and had i been very satisfactory. I Tho place of meeting for the next Con- j ference was fixed at Ashburton. j The Stationing Committee presented the first draft of stations, which was as follows :—New Plymouth, Eevs John Nixon and G.
