SUDDEN DEATH.

Constable Eyan, n charge of the Little River police station, telegraphed this morning to Inspector Pender that a woman named Mary Anne Cook, aged fifty-one years, was found dead in her bed at 6.15 p.m. yesterday. Her hußband was absent at work, and she was last seen alive at 7 o'clock on the previous evening. The constable was informed that a little girl, named Mary Harris, looked through the window and saw the deceased in bed, and called her, but, as she received no reply, ahe reported the matter. Mrs Cook had apparently been dead some time when found, and had been in bad health for a long time previous to her death. An inquest on the body will be held.
