Death of a Tichborne Witness.
o Mr Vincent Gosforth has died at Liverpool. He was a witness in the Tichborne trial, being agent for the estate at the time the real Eoger Tichborne left this country. He was given possession of the famouß sealed paoket by Soger Tichborne previously to his departure from England, but which was, unfortunately, destroyed by Gosforth. Lady Katcliffe, it will be remembered, confirmed, by producing a similar document, Mr Gosforth's evidence, her ladyship's copy being actually signed by the missing heir to the estates. Mr Gosforth's examination at the hands of Serjeant Ballantine extended over three weeks, and the contents of this sealed packet were differently described by the claimant and his advocate. Deceased was seventy-four years of age.
