£5000 LOSS. [Per Press Association.] , "" NELSON, Nov. 13. A serious fire broke out early this morn* ' ing in Messrs Baigents' planing: mills, > Waimea street, and extended to their Royal Rink, a large building 350 ft by 50ft, in 1 which was stocked a quantity of timber. , All were entirely destroyed. Two small un- , occupied cottages, a large stable, and two cart sheds belonging to the Company also were burnt. Mr Baigent values his property at £5000, and it was uninsured. The only insurances were £75 in the Standard on the stable, and £25 each on the cottages in the , Northern.
