OTHER MATCHES.
The annual match between Linwood and Leeston was played on Saturday, and was rendered more than usually interesting by the fact that neither had previously been defeated this season. The result proved that the Linwood boys were the better team, they winning the game by three points to two. The visitors were entertained at a dinner and smoke concert in the evening, Mr H. Toomer presiding. Sydenham Third defeated Linwood Second by seven points to six. The East Cbristchurch Third .met ana defeated the Christchurch Third by twelve points to nil.
