FROZEN MEAT TRADE.
[Pee Press Association.] AUCKLAND, March 20. A circular has been forwarded to the farmers and stock owners in this district by the Auckland Frozen Meat Company, stating that in view of the expected increase in their business, and to induce a greater supply in the mutton market, they were prepared to kill, freeze, ship, pay freight, insurance and all other charges incurred from the time of taking delivery at the yards to the sale of the meat in London, and the rendering of account sales at a fixed consolidated rate ; and at the same time to make liberal advances to owners. The principal conditions are . — (1) The Company would require a guarantee of 10,000 fat sheep per annum for two years ; (2) the consolidated rate referred to would be, for mutton 2i|d per lb, for lamb 2|d per lb ; (3) the Company would advance on prime mutton 4d per lb ; ewes and second-clas3 mutton 3£d per lb ; good lambs 4jd per lb, out of which the consolidated charge would be deducted.
