Sacred Concert.

& THE BT ASAPH STREET OHUBOH. The United Methodist Free Church, Sfe Asaph street, was crowded last night, when a grand vocal and instrumental sacred concert was given in aid of the debt extinction fund. Mr A. Corricic was the conductor, and deserves very gieat credit for the excellence of the performance. The choir numbered about fifty vocalists, and the accompaniments were played by an orchestra consisting of about ten performers. An apology wriii made for the Absence of Sir Davis Bunt, who was to have presided at the organ, but whose place 1 was ably supplied by Mies C6rrick. The principal number in the concert wad Weber's Mass in G, the choruaeß in which were given with much accuracy, and the bolob by Miss A. 3. Taylor, who Bang the florid music with her usual delightful execution; Meadames A. Corrick and C. M. Gray, whose resonant contralto voices did full justice to the composition j Mr J. Fugchell, to whom was allotted the tenor, and Mr Halley the bass. Both gentlemen were quite at home with the music The other solo singers during the ewning were Mr H. ,ML Johnson, who gave "Then Shall the Righteous Shine;" Mr Martin, who gave' the air in Sullivan's "I will Sing of Thy Power ;" Miss Alleo, who took the soprano solo in the Prhyerfrom "Mos6 in Egifctoj" and Miss Scales, who gave the solo in Allen's "In the Beginning was the Word." Several of the solos were redemanded, amongst them being, "Oh, Best in the Lord" (Mrt 0. M. Gray), "From Mighty Kings" -(Miaa A. S. Tavlor). "He was Despised" (Mrs A. Corrick), and "If with all Your Hearts " (Mr Pusohell). However, only tfee last of them was repeated. A duefc, ••Evening." sung by Mrs C. M. Gray and Mr J. Pusohell, was a noteworthy number in the programme. Before the concert dosed, the Eev Pastor of the^jhurch proposed the usual votes of thanks.
