MASONIC.
CEOWN LODGE No. 675, S.C. The imposing ceremony of consecrating a new lodge-room, for the use of the Crown Lodge (S.C.), Sydenham, was conducted yesterday by the K.W.D.Ct.M under the Scottish Constitution, Bro tlio Eev J. Hill, and the officers of the District Grand Lode;©, as follows -.—D.M., Bro C. Louisson; S.M., Bro J. C. Watson; Treasurer, Bro W. Pirie; Secretary, Bro J. Carroll; Chaplain, Bro "W. Malcolm j S. and J.W., Bros J. Wendelkea and F. W. Francis; Stewards, Bros H. T. Gourlay and W. Baraht; and Tyler, Bro G. Mearns. The hall had been thoroughly fitted for the purposes of Masonry, and nicely furnished ; and was found equal to comfortably Beating over one hundred brethren, who included visitors from all the different Lodges in the district and several country Lodges. The 'consecration, cercmoaey being ended, the Lodge was duly opened, and Bro F. Burgess, who has filled tho 11.W.M/s chair during the past year, was rvgain placed there for another term. The D.G.M. congratulated him upon the success which had crowned his former term of office, and the Lodge on having been able to acquire so suitable and convenient a property for their purpose. He also addressed the assemblage on some o£ the. Bpecial features o£ Masonry. The investiture of the officers for the ensuing year waa then proceeded with, when the following, who had been elected afc the previous meeting, were entrusted with the insignia of their respective offices :— Bro J. Goiigh, S.W.; BroW. Bourdot, J.W. ; Bro J. C. Watson, P.M., Chaplain; Bro E. J. Tozer, Secretary (re-elected) ; Bro E. Eastwood, Treasurer (re-elected) ; H. Whitfield, S.D. ; ' Bto B. Brown, J.D: ; Bro I A. Shaw,, 1.G. ; Bro W. H. Whitta and I Bro E. Berti, Stewards ; Bro G, M'eams, Tyler. The officers having taken their respective positions, the Lodge waa closed, and the inoinbera adjourned, to the supper room, where expressions of congratulation were given utterance to, and a pleasant evening was spent in harmony and appropriate toasts, ■ ..-.-.
