Pionesr Bicycle Club. — The ninth annual meeting of the above Club was held on Thursday evening at their rooms. Mr A. Lowry was in the chair. The report and balance-Bheefc, which were considered satisfactory, were adopted, and the officera re-elected. It was decided to raise the subscription to .£1 per annum, with a nomination fee of ss. A letter was read from P. Wood, the professional champion, who was in Melbourne, asking what terms they would give him to compete at the annual race meeting held hero on Boxing Day. Ho also said that probably Mr TV". Brown, the English amateur crack, wonld accompany him. The meeting decided to leava the matter over for a week. During tha year the membership had increased from 71 to 120, and the cash in band was £13 Is 6d.
