AUCKLAND, Attgtjbt 26. The Auckland Branch of the New Zealand Rifle Association met and considered the questions of the next meeting and the Remington-Lee Eifle. It was resolved that the new rifle be used at the next meeting in preference to the old weapon, provided a sufficient number of the new weapons be available. The various proposed new rules for conduct ing the £ ssooiation's firing at the meeting were considered, and slight alterations were adopted. Amongst the alterations were suggestions that 1000 yards be added to the ranges in the first match in the second stage; also, that in preference to the proposed item the District Teams match be still retained on the programme. The time of holding the next meeting it waa considered should be January, the date being left to the Council. It was resolved that a nationality match be added to the programme.
