An Excited Woman.

At the Resident Magistrate's Court, Timaru, yesterday, a somewhat exciting episode occurred. The wife desertion case, Jone3 v. Jones, the sequel to the reoent unsuccessful Buit for a divorce, came on for the adjourned hearing, and while the wife was in the witness box she suddenly became seized with a paroxysm of some sort, and jumping down out of the witness box seized her marriage certificate and some pawn tickets lying on the table, and tore them into fragments before any one couid interfere. She was removed for five minutes, and then she came back somewhat subdued and tearful, and exclaiming th&fc lie waß a brute and had deceived her. She apologised for the outbreak. A protection order was issued. iQt her, ier claim for a maintenance order being disallowed.
