Linwood.

Mr Loughrey's Committee met in the Foresters' Hall, Richmond, last evening, when there was a full attendance. Canvassers handed in their Richmond returns, which were considered very satisfactory. After a considerable amount of business was transacted, the Committee adjourned till Tuesday next at eight o'clock, at the Oddfellows' Hall, East Belt.

A meeting of Mr Flesher's Committee was held last evening in the Church of England Schoolroom, Phillipstown, there being a good attendance. The reports of the canvassers were considered highly satisfactory, and indicative of an increasing feeling in favour of Mr Flesher's return.
