A LIVELY DISCUSSION.

DUNEDIN, Jult G. A lively dißCK3sion took place at a meeting of the Dunedin Presbytery with regard to the Rev A. C. Gillies, who recently resigned tho charge of the North Dunedin Church aud received a certificate, but who has since conducted service in & hall in town. A motion was made that Mr Gillies be asked as to the nature and purpose of these services, but most of the members were of opinion that it would be unwise to stir in the matter, as Mr Gillies would soon find ifc necessary to leave, and consideration was postponed till next meeting.
