TIMARU.
I Heavy rain has been falling incessantly for the past two days, and the sea has been very rough. The south express train was a few minutes behind her time on arrival here, but the delay wa& caused by the train remaining longer than usual at Oamaru. Up to the present tinae there has been no report of any damage, but if this kind of weather continues rausla longer it is to be feared the country, districts will suffer.
