The Magistrate stated there were tiiree previous convictions against him, and he might think himself very leniently treated by being sentenced to three months' imprisonment with hard labour.

Obscbnb LANGTTAGB.— OharIes Crates was charged with using obscene language. Duncan Brit ton, first officer of the Dumoore, stated that acoused came aft on the ship, demanding grog, and when ordered forward became abusive to witness and the captain. Fined 40s, or 96 hours in default.
