The Inscribed Stook Bill was passed by the Assembly after some debate, but its progress is retarded in the Legislative Council. Sir Henry Farkes is about to prooeed on a tour through the New England district, to visit his constituents at Tenterfield.

The extension of the railway to Urandale was made the occasion of considerable rejoicing. The Assembly adjourned to enable members to attend.

Some excitement was caused by the discovery of two more ingots of gold in a box which was in the possession of tho late Hinton. One ingot bad been partially melted, and the other boro evident traces of an attempt having been made to out it into equal pieces. The police think that two men were implicated in the robbery. The last two ingots were ingeniously inserted in Uie lid, and were nicely adjusted to balance each other. A olaim has been made for the gold by the TJ. 8. S. Company.
