It has transpired that M. Ferry has teen summoned by President Grevy to undertake the formation of a new Ministry. [Latee.] M. Ferry has declined the task of forming a new Ministry.

PARIS, Jan. 29.

M. Faillieres, who was Minister of the Interior in M. Duclero's Administration, has been summoned by the President to constitute a new Cabinet.

M. Faillieres has formed a Coalition Ministry, consisting of all his for* mer colleagues except M. Duclero, General Billot (Minister of War), and Admiral Janreqaiberry (Minister of Marine). M. Faillieres becomes Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs; General Thebandou succeeds General Billot as Miaister of War; and M. Tirard is appointed Minister of the Interior.

LONDON, Jan. 29.

It is understood that the Polynesian labour traffic question will occupy a prominent place among the matters to be broughc before Earl Derby, Secretary of State for the Colonies, by tbe deputation which waits upon His Lordahip on Feb. 7.

M. Giera, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, who has been on a visit to this city, has started on His return to St Petersburg.

MADRID, Jah. 29.

An aeronaut, who made an ascent in a balloon near this city to-day, fell from the car into the street, and was killed instantaneously.
