Old Boys' Bace, 200 Yards Handicap. W. MeUiflh, 10yds 1 G. Palmer, syds 2 B. V. Hamilton, syds 3 Time— 22 Boo. The prizes were then presented by Mrs Corfo, after a Bhort address from Mr C. C. Coifo, tha head master. In tho course of his remarks ho referred to the satisfaction he felt i at a boy of Williams' position— senior prefect—having carried off the challenge cup. He also congratulated the school on the completion ot the new gymnasium, and tho engagement of Pooock as coach for cricket. After Bpeaki&g of the way in which old boya : gathered on tho annual sports day and took i part in the proceedings, ho said that he bad lately hoard that five members of the Jesus 1 College, Cambridge, football fifteen, were old ' Christ's College boys, an announcement which i vras of couwe recoived with great cheering. Williams, the champion, came in for a most enthusiastic round of cheera on receiving the handsome cup which is now his property for the space of a year. Similar compliments 1 having been paid Mrs Corfe, the ladies, and ' head maßter, the proceedings terminated.
