[By Tblegbaph.J (For s.s. Taiaroa, via Auckland.) AUCKLAND, Oot. 4. Edgar Lillito, who was entrusted with the conveyance of £26 L from Suva 'o Levuka, has disappeared. He is supposed to have lovantod to New 03' land. On the last trip ®f the Taiaroa from Suva to Lovuka, W. Peterson fell overboard and was drowned. Captain Watt, of the barque Redcoit, well-kno-ffii in New Zealand, has diod at Suva, Town lotß at Suva have beon sold for £15 per foot. The Goodenough memorial clock tower at Levuka io completed. The captain of tho Westward Ho, which avrived at, Suva on September 15, roports tbat the captain, owner, acd four'of tho crew of a French cutter, of Portobollo, had beon murdered at the island of Santo, and tho vessel pillaged. A French war ship subsequently visited Santo, but the natives retreatod to tlie [ bush. Tha cuttor was manned by the cruiaer and sont to New ' aledonia.
