LONDON, April 15. The mails via San Francisco were delivered yesterday.

April 17. The latest Cape news is to April 1. / The relieving forces started for /Ekowe yesterday. They consisted of GOOO men, with Gatling guns and a [ rocket column. The troops are in good ! health. On March 30 Colonel Pearson signalled from Ekowe that 200 of the garrison had been disabled, and only 500 were then effective. It is stated that 35,000 Zulus await the arrival of the Ekowe relieving force. 200 Zulus attacked Colonel Webb's, camp, near Luneberg, where the fighting lasted for four hours. The enemy were repulsed. The British loss was 7 officers and 70 men.
