Tho Volunteer Demonstration is likely to be financially a success. If there is any shorfcno s, it will not be for a largo amount. The town seems very quiet since the volunteers departed. The last two or three left by the express to-day. The Kaitangata Fund amounts fco £573 odd.
The soiree and public meeting in connection with the Good Templar Grand Lodge was hold last night. Dr Roseby, of Dunodin, delivered an excellent addreßß.
