Tho Court opened at a querter-past olevon o'olook. < Deunkbnnbss.— Two inebriates, who appeared for the first time, flrere fined 5s eaoh.— Miohael Ryan and Edmund Brown were fined 10s eaoh.— Jamos Hislop, for drunkenness and obsoono language, was fined 10b. — James Stoddait, for drunkenness and insulting females, was fined £3.— Jamos Sohrader,for drunkenness and üßing obscene language within hearing of a public thoroughfere, wr i sontoncod to two months' imprisonment with hard labour. ' Labobny.— JosophHaskett was brought up charged with having stolon a sum of money belonging to Jules BeJlos. Prisoner obtained normusion Worn proseoutor to lie down and havo a sloep m his house, and was left alone tor a time. After ho had gone it was found that a money-box, belonging to proseoutor, had bopn broken open, and about £2 6b abstracted. When prisoner was arrested by Deteotive Bottingfcon 12s 9&d was found upon him, and out of this a threepenny piooo and farthing were identified by proseoutor as part of the stolen money. Prisoner denied the offenoe, but was sentenced to one month's imprison, ment with hard labour.
