[By Tblbobath.} The Polling for tbis election took place today, and caused a good deal of excitement, Ihe principal polling place at LeUhleld was, of course, the centre of attraction, aad after the close of the poll numbers of people Booked into ttie township to hear the newa from Oxford and other outlying parts. Thanks to tbe excellent arrangements made by theße* turning Offioer (0. Whitefoord, Rso-RM.) the returns were- reoeived earlier than the Stublio expected, and he gave oat the numbers or all the polling places except at the Oust, whioh was not considered to affect the result, at eight o'clock. He also stated that the offlcial declaration would be made at tea o'clock on Wednesday morning.
