LATEST FROM POVERTY BAY.
This Day, 10.48 a.m. The Government has received some bad news from the East Coast. The report going about is, that the rebels have out-flanked Major Lambert and seized some of his stores. The telegraph wires in the Waikato have been cut or broken ; whether by Natives is not known. 11.8 a.m. Napier news of this day reports that eight kegs of gunpowder have been captured by a mounted party of the enemy from the escort, eight miles from Poverty Bay.
