Mails per Ahuriri for Wellington, Napier, and Auckland, will close at Christchurch, at 1.45 p.m., and Lyttelton, at 2.45 p.m., on Thursday, ' -ct. 29. Mails per Stormßird, for Otago and Southland will close at Christchurch at 3.45 p.m., and Lyttelton, at 4.45 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. Mail 3 per Rangitoto for Otago, Southland, and the Australian Colonies will close at Chdstchurch, at 1 1.45 a.m., and Lyttelton at 12.45 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 2. ENGLISH MAIL VIA PANAMA. Mails for the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, via Panama, and the Northern ports of New Zealand, will close at Christchurch at 8.30 a.m., and Lyttelton at 9.30 aim., on Saturday. November 7th. Letters for Mexico, South America, the Continent of Europe, and other Foreign Countries, must be posted before 7 a.m., on Saturday, November 7th. Late letters for all the above places can be posted uutil 10 a.m., on Saturday, November 7th, by the attachment of an extra sixpenny stamp. Newspapers for the above will close at 8 a.m., on Saturday, November 7th. Money orders must be procured at Christchurch, and letters registered before 5 p.m., on Friday, November 6th.
