[by west coast thleoeaph.] Hokitika, This Day. The Eangitoto, which arrived from Melbourne at 2 a.m. on. : Saturday brings news to Sept. 19. The Melbourne flour market has slightly improved. Trade parcels sold at £17 10s. New Zealand oats sold at 33 lid to 4s. In the Tasmanian market, wheat was firm at 6s 6d ; fiour, £15 to £16 ; o?ts, 2s 9d. Business dull. Rain is much wanted ia South Australia. Wheat is quoted in the Adelaide market at 6s to 6a 6d. Flour eoldat£ls. Newcastle coal is quoted at 7s 9d. G-old has been discovered at Kiama. A second woollen cloth manufactory has been started at Geelong. It is reported that gold has been discoverad in the Society Islands.
