VOLUN TEERS TO THE FRONT.
■We are informed that a telegram has been received in Christchurch, from t ho Defence Minister, asking whether a compauy could be obtained out of the Volunteers, for service at the front. Pay, of course, is guaranteed, aod their services, at present, are only asked for two months. "We understand, also, that the Artillery instructor at Lytteltou has been urgeutly telegraphed for.
