Known in the annals of Poksikii story; A knight well combed, and crowned with gl»ry But an unmitigated Tory, Who drank the stunt at erery halt— a Thorough-bred Englinh Knight of Mntt-a ! A wondrous coarse old man of Gath, Is the Companion of the Hath ; Who'd jesting ask, what Trooper Smith, When eaten up, was "seasoned with." Gruff toned, but unread Latin spouter, Like C— lton and Wat the Doubter, Wl»oM "spare the vanquished and reduce the proud," Go tell that to the Maori— not the crowd. Metbinka r gee thee, anxious, looking out Of good Dame C — sy's flannel petticoat. Friend of lamented Indian Canning, Thou should'st have been a mate for Mra Manning.
